The IIJS is thrilled to congratulate Michelle Margolis, Columbia's Norman E. Alexander Librarian for Jewish Studies, upon her installation as the President of the Association of Jewish Libraries for the 2022-2024 term. A vital member of our intellectual community, Michelle has been active in AJL since 2007, and has been working in Judaica libraries for nearly 20 years. She co-directs Footprints, a project tracing the movement of historical Jewish collections, and recently published a chapter on the history of Professor Salo Baron's critical impact in building the Judaica library at Columbia.
