Celebrating 75 Years of the Institute for Israel and Jewish Studies

On Tuesday, November 11, the Institute for Israel and Jewish Studies gathered with students, faculty, alumni, and friends to celebrate seventy-five years of scholarship, dialogue, and community at Columbia University. The evening featured warm reflections on the Institute’s legacy and the people who have shaped its history.

The celebration also included an exhibit on the history of IIJS, curated by Norman E. Alexander Librarian for Jewish Studies Michelle Margolis, and a commemorative video capturing the spirit and story of the Institute.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in marking this meaningful milestone and to the many individuals whose commitment has carried IIJS forward across the decades.
