Michelle Margolis, Norman E. Alexander Librarian for Jewish Studies and Curator of Columbia University Libraries’ Jewish Studies collections, has been named one of Library Journal’s “Movers & Shakers” for 2026 in the Educators category. This annual recognition honors library professionals whose work is shaping the future of the field through teaching, scholarship, and public engagement.
Margolis was recognized for her work bringing Jewish texts to students, scholars, and public audiences through exhibitions, collaborative programming, teaching, and innovative library initiatives, including digitization projects and podcasts.
