Our spring film series opens with The Property. Please join us for an in-person screening, followed by a discussion led by IIJS Film Programmer Stuart Weinstock. The screening will take place on Monday, February 9, at 6:00 p.m., at 617 Kent Hall.
Regina and her granddaughter Mika travel from Israel to Poland to reclaim their family property seized during World War II, and their quest quickly unravels. As Mika finds herself falling for a charming tour guide, Regina seizes the opportunity to find her long-lost love, from whom she was separated seventy years ago. The Property approaches its multi-generational story with unexpected humor and was nominated for 4 Israeli Film Academy Awards.
(110 minutes; Hebrew, Polish, and English with English subtitles)
