Our Summer Film Series, in partnership with ChaiFlicks, is delighted to bring you a sneak peek (the first two episodes) into two of Israel’s biggest TV series of the last few years, On the Spectrum and Bloody Murray. Please join us for an interview with Naomi Levov, the amazing, award-winning leading actress in both series, on Tuesday, July 14 at noon (ET), on Zoom.
Please register for the event below. Prior to the event, you will be sent an exclusive link to watch the first two episodes of each series between Friday, July 10 and Tuesday, July 14. On the morning of the July 14 Zoom Q&A, you will receive an email with the Zoom link, ahead of the event at noon. Event screening access is limited to viewers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.
In On the Spectrum, you’ll meet Zohar, Ron, and Dana — three 20-something-year-old roommates, each on the autism spectrum and learning to live life on their own terms. This touching dramedy was winner of six Israeli TV Academy Awards including Best Series and Best Actress (Naomi Levov). On The Spectrum captures their vulnerabilities, triumphs, friendships, and quiet moments as they learn to live more independently, together.
Coming exclusively to ChaiFlicks starting July 19, is Bloody Murray, Israel's newest hit romantic comedy series starring Naomi Levov and Rotem Sela (The Beauty & The Baker, A Body That Works). This witty and smart romantic comedy series is a fresh take on the "messy magic of friendship", following two 30-something female roommates, Murray (Levov) and Dana (Sela), both successful, bright, and single. The series highlights their contrasting, yet deeply connected personalities, their somewhat messy romances, and the inevitable ticking clock of being a 30-something single woman. Bloody Murray recently swept the Israeli TV Academy Awards, winning Best Comedy, Best Actress (Naomi Levov), Best Supporting Actress (Rotem Sela) and Best Creator.
Along with the Zoom link, registered guests will receive an offer to check out ChaiFlicks—the exclusive streaming home for many Israeli and Jewish-themed films, including several great films we have screened at Columbia IIJS!
